Get up dress up and show
The boat of life moves on
Only if you continue to row.

Sickness is a part of life
But don’t ever fall sick
Get up and walk again
Hold to your walking stick.


A stubborn blade of grass

This poem is inspired by my Mother. She has been sick all her life but I see her well dressed and ready for her morning and evening walks inspite of pain or rain.


She has been sick all her life but has chosen not to fall sick. She finishes all her daily chores with a smile and is ready well dressed up with enthusiasm for any opportunity to see the world.
