Fish and visitors smell in three days. ~Benjamin Franklin
A Guest is like a God for the first day
He is like a human on the second day
The third day he starts to smell foul
Behind the walls hear the hostess growl.
Every thing in small doses is pleasant
When you visit go with a small present
A present opens all the closed doors
The host lays the red carpet on the floor.
No lunch ever in this world is free
This we can confess to some degree
There is always some price to pay
That you have to assume none will say.
While dancing let the host take the lead
Ultimately he is the one who shall feed
Getup before the host looks at the clock
If he yawns there is nothing left to talk - Vasant Khisty
As a guest it is important to understand the body language of the host. Your presence shall please the host for some time and then it starts to become burden. The longer you stay your short coming start to reveal. As a guest always go with a gift or a flower. It immediately removes any barrier.
