Inside every older person is a younger person wondering what happened. ~Jennifer Yane
Why is it necessary to get old?
Why do smiles turn into wrinkles?
Why do we need a stick to hold?
Why do eyes loose their twinkles?
Why is the span of rise so short?
And decline so gradual and long
God is this your design fault
That body can’t forever be strong.
What goes up should come down
Everything happens for a reason
What happens when sun never sets?
And if there is only spring season.
If you forever hold the dance floor
When will others get their chance?
Once you get tired sit and watch
Let the youth rock a new dance. – Vasant Khisty
We feel that the youth is short and old age is long and we wonder why we have to get old and not be young forever. This universe is built around a rhythm and cycles and we have to be part of that cycle. Imagine a sea wave. It goes up and slowly it descends on the shore. Can the sea wave be forever being on the up??
