Lonliness

The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved. Mother Teresa

Poor are the people who are lonely
Poor are the people who don’t find love
Life is not all about earning only
But finding a reason to love and serve.

I see many sitting alone in the park
Looking and smiling at passers by
They wait until the lights turn dark
And consumed by loneliness they cry.

They spend their lives working hard
But never spent time on relationship
Life was spent on shuffling cards
But they could not win friendship.

Mother Teresa was by choice alone
She did not choose to sit in the park
Looked around for men and women
Dying alone on the streets so dark.

She picked them up and cleaned them
And her kind gesture did not go futile
She held their hand and prayed for them
As they breathe their last with a smile. - Vasant Khisty

As I travel around the world I see lonely souls sitting in the town square. They spend their lives doing great things but then they are left lonely to fend for themselves. There is no man as poor as a lonely man. There are men who lived a life of glory but they die lonely with no one on their side. Mother Teresa took this mission to pick up lonely souls and give them a respectful death.
