In quest

Some go to the jungle in vain and starve and cause themselves some pain;
they waste their time with all this and come home tired, nothing gained! - Bulleh Shah.

If God was in Forests
The animal would find first
If God was in Ganges
The fishes would find first
If God was in Hunger
Then poor would find first
If God was in shaving head
The bald would find first.

Oh seeker don’t go any where
Nor walk miles with feet bare
Clean your heart and surrender
You can experience his wonder.

We are woven by just one thread
It has no beginning and no end
We have tied it with many knots
First untie them inside your head.

Seek him as you seek your lover
Yearn for him oh thirsty traveler
Create a swamp of love in your mind
Plunge deep and there you shall find. - Vasant Khisty

This poem is inspired by Bulleh Shah who was a great Sufi Poet of 16th Century. His poems are simple and convey non dogmatic approach towards seeking God.
