Spiritual prirority

We make plans for our life
And set priorities for the day

But we neglect our soul

The life in our body of clay.

Our agenda is dominated
By plans for earthly identity
The spirit gets neglected
Because of its invisibility.


It is of utmost importance
To define the spiritual priority
Cause this body is ours
But soul is Gods proprietary.


Draw knowledge from scriptures
And wisdom from within
Keep company of enriched souls
And avoid indulgence in sin.


This is the time to ponder
This is the time for prayer
For the spirit to move ahead

This poem was inspired by a sermon from Bishop Downes at Oldham Methodist Church Pune. We spend a lot of time prioritizing our plans for the enrichment of our lives but we forget the spirit. The spirit has its priorities and it is more important to focus on enrichment of spirit as it will fuel another life of our where ever it would be.
